Bose Sounddock cradle PCB

Note that this repair/modification will void your Bose warranty (but I assume you don't have any, as it would be obvious to turn to Bose if you still were on warranty). This replacement requires some level of handiness which is described in the repair guide. You are responsible for ensuring you have enough knowledge to perform this repair.

Do you have the Bose Sounddock and have broken the iPod dock connector away from the PCB? Or do you have the Bose Sounddock but can't charge your new iPhone 3g/3gs, iPod nano or iPod touch? Here is the solution to both these problems. By ordering one of the options below and following the Bose Sounddock repair guide you can easily replace the PCB.

We offer replacement PCBs that fits directly into the Bose Sounddock. If you just want to repair your broken iPod cradle, you can buy the PCB without the new charging electronics for the newer iPhone/iPod.

The original PCB is fastened with small plastic pegs/welds. To remove the PCB you need to remove the top of these pegs and to put the new PCB back you will need to glue it back to the plastic base with hot glue, epoxy or similar. If you have a hot glue gun (bought cheaply in a shop otherwise) this operation is very easy and robust.

Make sure whether you have the original Sounddock or the Sounddock II and order the correct PCB below. The picture above shows an original Sounddock PCB while the Sounddock II has five resistors close to the right button (Click here for a picture of the Sounddock II PCB and note the 5 resistors marked with red).

Bose and Sounddock are tradermarks of Bose Corporations.
